300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Eligibility Criteria

300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Eligibility Criteria

When you become a consistent practitioner of yoga, you feel your current yoga knowledge is not serving you enough. That is when you think about updating or upgrading your yoga knowledge. Similarly, the Yoga Alliance structures different yoga teacher training courses according to the level of practice of different yoga practitioners. However, you need to fulfill minimum eligibility criteria to join 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training.

Eligibility Criteria For RYT 300

A 300 hour yoga teacher training course is a perfect stop for intermediate yoga practitioners. According to the Yoga Alliance codes of conduct, you must be having a basic yoga certification to join the 300 hour yoga teacher training.

The basic yoga certification implies a 200 hour yoga teacher training course certification. Thus, you can easily upgrade to a 300 hour YTT course if you have a 200 hour YTT certification.

However, there is no hard and fast rule for eligibility criteria. Yoga Alliance gives liberty to its registered yoga schools in terms of deciding the eligibility of a practitioner for a 300hour yoga teacher training course. Therefore, if you have been practicing yoga for a while on your own, you can join this course.

Moreover, you are eligible to join this course even if you do not have a 200 hour yoga teacher training certification. All you need to do is to prove your eligibility, yoga knowledge, or level of yoga practice to the respective authorities.

You are eligible to enroll in this course if the respective authorities nod after witnessing your yoga potential. Thus, it varies from one yoga school to the other.
